Untethered jailbreak coming soon to iOS 5
As the launch of iOS 5 and iPhone 4S is closer every day, many iPhone and iPad users wonder about whether the tethered jailbreak will be available any time soon. If you are a frequent reader on our blog you will know that every beta version of iOS 5 was followed by an updated version of the jailbreak. Unfortunately every jailbreak for iOS 5 beta so far was only an untethered version. Of course this isn’t particularly important to experienced jailbreakers, as they are quite willing to endure any problem if the jailbreak depends on it. But when it comes to average non techie iPhone users, things look a bit differently. Any and all obstacles which come with jailbreaking and they are few of them, can hinder and prevent users from jailbreaking.

Well known jailbreak solution and one of the easiest available out there, JailbreakMe had its domain JailbreakMe.com sold out to an owner which is not really trusted by the jailbreak community and therefore it became not safe for use anymore. Instead of this domain jailbreak developers will from now on use JailbreaksMe.com
This news was announced by MuscleNerd who released these informations to the jailbreak public via his Twitter stream.
Original owner of this famous domain, which was only “borrowed“ to Comex, is an iOS app development company. They have now decided to sell the domain to a not reliable owner making it completely unsuitable for use.

Many iPhone fans and users have often wondered will Apple decide to offer unlocked iPhone 4S to users. As you probably know, iPhone 4 is currently available without a contract, and its been so for a couple of months already. Now it seems according to statements Apple wrote on their website, that iPhone 4S will indeed be offered also without a contract. This is explicitly said in their FAQ section regarding a replacement: “ You can also buy an unlocked iPhone from the Apple Store and get a SIM card from your GSM network”. It is quite possible that this statement is some kind of mistake, but some analysts have predicted this long time ago, since Apple is obviously trying to cut down its reliance on network carriers.
