Apple updates their Apple TV to 4.4.1

Apple tv update

Only a week ago Apple has released their update containing Air Play mirror capabilities. But now they have released an additional update which removes some freshly discovered bugs and adds small technical improvements. This release 4.4.1 was launched today but afterwards it was quickly removed as Apple received some troubling reports on devices completely blocked and disabled due to some unknown bug.

This problem was quickly located by Apples engineers and the update was again seeded on Apples servers. Version 4.4.1 is only a small incremental update but still, it represents an improvement over the older firmware 4.4. For example you can use this upgrade if you want to mirror your video content to your iPad 2 or to your iPhone 4S. You can also enjoy in your images stored safely in iCloud.

There were reports on Apple TV devices which couldn’t be restored after the upgrade, so a complete restore was necessary. If you had such a problem occurring on your Apple TV, upgrade to firmware 4.4.1 should remove this problem.
