RedSn0w jailbreak to undergo a mayor upgrade

Dev Team is preparing a significant upgrade for RedSn0w jailbreaking tool. MuslceNerd who often speaks for iPhone Dev Team said that one of the new features will be that users wont need to manually select the iOS firmware file, another great feature will be the possibility to easily save the always important SHSH blobs with Cydia. New RedSn0w should be seeded before next Monday.

RedSn0w will be able to automatically get the requested files from Apple’s servers, and even better, it will store necessary files on your computer so you wont need to download it every time you need them. This doesn’t include iOS beta version as you will need to get them manually.

Microsoft presents Windows 8 as a Tablet OS competitor

Microsoft has yesterday presented their beta version of Windows 8 operative system. This time Windows will nto be only an PC operative system, instead it will also be available for tablet devices. Will Microsoft create a good enough OS which can rival Apple’s iOS?

A quick look at Windows 8 shows that this could indeed be a valid tablet OS. It draws a lot from Windows 7 Phone which has already proved itself in the real world but it ads computing power of a real desktop version of Windows. The best thing is that any app which runs on your laptop should also work on your Windows tablet. One questions still remains, how will Microsoft deliver the touch experience we have with iOS? It is certain Windows 8 will work as expected with a keyboard and a mouse, but will it work as good with the touch interface?

Windows 8

Despite the fact that this blog is devoted to iPhone, iPad and other things made by Apple, we cant turn a blind eye to what is a hot news on the net, if for no other reason than to keep an eye on what Apple’s competitors are up to. And these days many of them try to emulate Apple’s success in one form or other. Same thing with Microsoft. After they recently started to open Microsoft stores, now they are applying similar marketing techniques. Today, one of the biggest software corporations of the last century (pun intended) has revealed Windows 8 for developers preview. What is most interesting is that this is available for everyone, not developers only.
