Apple is quite a unique company and one of their basic strategies which proved extremely successful so far was to provide customer experience from the beginning to the end. This is one of the reasons Apple is building it’s own hardware devices, developing it’s unique operative system like Mac OS and iOS and sells their products and services in their Apple Stores.

Apple store training video leaked to the public

Apple is indeed a great company with a lot of great products and services which make things better in this troubled world. Nevertheless Apple is still a company and therefore prone to failures from time to time. Here is an example of a slight but somewhat embarrassing training video for Apple store employees. We are somehow sure it wasn’t meant for the outside world but as things go, it has somehow surfaced and provided ammunition to many Apple haters out there. Here is the video so you can see for yourself.

Apple has just released the next version of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch firmware which is now being upgraded to iOS 5.0.1. Major reason for this upgrade was the battery life issue reported by many users where iPhone’s were draining batteries very quickly, even if the devices were in stand by mode only. There were also other things Apple solved with this upgrade including some security risks, bug fixes, better voice recognition, re introduction of multi touch gestures for iPad and much more.

Adobe stops developing Flash for mobile devices

Adobe’s vice president Donny Winnokur confirmed many rumors when he stated that Adobe stops development of Flash for mobile platforms. He announced that Adobe’s efforts within the smartphone market will be from now on focused on enabling developers to implement Adobe AIR technology into their apps. Flash Player wont be upgraded any more to work with new mobile devices, OS and browsers. But current versions of Flash Player will still be supported with mayor updates and bug fixes for some time. Source code and licensing of Flash will be kept the same, meaning that Flash developers wont have any licensing related issues after this decision.

Facebooks founder received advices from Steve Jobs

Marck Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg talked with and received advices from late Steve Jobs on Facebook and its future. Would you believe in a such statement, as it sounds quite incredibly?Tech news magazines and blogs are full of stories about the giants: Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook and Microsoft clash against each other as they fight for the heart and minds of users around the globe. It seems that despite this Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook was wise enough to take step aside and learn from one of the greatest business leaders of our times, Steve Jobs. As he revealed in a recent interview, he wasn’t afraid or ashamed to say that he had a lot of questions for Jobs. He wanted to learn from the number one about building quality and providing best services to users, which is something Apple is well known about. He also discussed about designs, aesthetics and missions of today’s large companies.

Apple porting Siri voice assistant to iPhone 4?

Siri for iPhone

We have heard recently some rumors and reports about Apple’s intentions to add Siri to iPhone 4. Since Apple is recently busilly working on iOS 5.0.1 to solve battery life issues they apparently also want to include in this upgrade Siri to become comaptible with iPhone 4. A source close to Cupertino Company revealed that Apple’s engineers are testing Siri in their other iPhone models. Model which will most probably receive Siri upgrade will be iPhone 4 which has enough hardware capacities for supporting Siri. But we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that Apple is also testing other iPhone models. Could this mean that Apple is working on another iOS upgrade?

Is Apple’s Siri assistant a Google killer?

Siri voice assistant

Former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt has said in a public hearing that Siri represents a great development in search and that Google’s core business of internet search could be significantly threatened by Apple’s Siri technology. While such a statement could be dismissed as a overreaction, it is certain that Siri represents something completely new on the market. But nonetheless such a bold statement is questionable especially since Schmidt said it in front of a US Senat commission, probably to decrease the incredible significance and impact Google has over the Internet. Siri indeed could hurt Google’s business as it offers a voice assistance thus circumventing the need for visiting Google’s website with served adds which yield most of the profits for Google.

Cupertino has just seeded the second beta version of the iOS 5.0.1 b2 to all Apple developers. The main reason for this update has been the battery life issue which became apparent almost immediately after the launch of iOS 5. Apple’s engineering task force has obviously found some clues about the problem and they are actively testing the solution for this bug.

Here are some of the improvements this iOS upgrade offers:

Solution for the battery life bug.
Introduction of Multitasking gestures on iPad 1.
Solution for the iCloud based Documents bug.
Better voice recognition for Australian iPhone users.

US Cellular a small US based network carrier refuses Apple’s iPhone because of terms

Sprint gave everything within its power only to get Apple’s iPhone for their users and committed themselves to a paid more than $20 billion for the contract with Apple. But now we hear about some smaller regional network carriers refusing to do the same thing for iPhone. After Sprint introduced iPhone they have experienced highest sales levels in their corporate history. Despite this some companies have obviously for a good reason decided against Apple.

Hotmail benefits largely from iOS 5

web email services for iPhone running iOS 5

It seems that iOS 5 upgrade has benefited Microsoft on a large scale. It remains to be seen is this just a side effect of improving user experience, or is it a part of Apple’s plan for cutting into Google’s market. We really think that Apple isn’t particularly happy with Google and their adventures with Android OS, and if you are a frequent reader on our blog, you will remember Apple’s late founder Steve Jobs was enraged with Android OS claiming that it is only a copy of iOS. Apple has made an additional effort, making it easier for iPhone users to create and use Hotmail email accounts. It comes as a surprise that Microsoft, as the Richmond company said earlier, sees more than 100k new users daily. Most of new Hotmail users are actually iOS users running the new iOS 5 and interestingly most of them are iPhone users.
