Web OS tablet TouchPad updated with a new release of WebOS
HP has surprisingly to some released a new update fro their mobile operative system, Web OS for what is officially a discontinued tablet device, TouchPad. TouchPad was quickly announced as failed product after initial sales were much lower than management of HP expected. But after the device has been offered for a lucrative price of $99 it was sold out as fast as possible, demonstrating the large unsatisfied global demand for a cheaper tablet device.
Motorola reveals Motoactv, an iPod Nano like device
It seems that these days Apple is so strongly influencing the high tech industry that even their competitors are taking same or similar steps in developing new products and services. Besides companies like HTC and Samsung trying to play the same game with the smartphones and tablet devices, now others are trying to use iPod Nano as an inspiration for their own products. Motorola has just revealed their new device called Motoactv which looks surprisingly similar to Apple’s iPod Nano watch. According to Motorola’s statement, they plan to launch the device very soon. Motoactv will be shipped geared as a normal watch so you wont need to get additional equipment to wear it as a normal watch, like you have to do with the original iPod Nano.
Four million iPhone 4S devices purchased during the first three days!
Apple has publicly stated that iPhone 4S has already been sold in more than four million units after only three days after the official launch. Tom Cook and his team are obviously quite satisfied with the results achieved so far. And this is indeed a record breaking achievement. No other smartphone was sold in such volume in such short time including previous iPhone models. To compare things a bit, only 2 million iPhone 4 devices were sold during the same initial three days period when it was launched last year. According to Apple, more than 24 million users worldwide enjoy in new features of iOS 5 on their devices. iCloud is another new service offered by Apple, and their statement reveals that they have attracted over 20 million new users enjoying a number of free. Cloud based computing services.
Steve Wozniak on Apple’s future
Steve Wozniak, one of the original founders of Apple, the other being late Steve Jobs, shared a bit about his worries on the future of Apple Inc. On the other side he said that it could go positive after all. But he has primarily aired his concerns about the way Apple has presented the iPhone 4S. According to him this was the first time the company talked about processors and technical details, which wasn’t something Steve Jobs would talk about.

Steve Jobs, cofounder of Apple and the main force behind Apple’s fascinating technology has passed away. Apple has just lost a great leader with stunning and creative vision and whole humanity has lost one of the most important business and technology leaders it ever had. His legacy, Apple, is a company which only a person like him, with a great vision could built. His spirit and ideas are the main reason Apple became what we see today.
President Obama got his iPad from Steve Jobs “a bit earlier”
During an interview for the ABC network, President Barak Obama has revealed that he has received his iPad much earlier than everybody else. He actually said it was a gift from Steve Jobs and in his words: it was a “ a little bit early”. President uses his iPad to read newspapers, which he earlier read in printed format only. President also uses Apple’s tablet to read some online blogs, but he does not comments on the blogs. According to him, if he did start he couldn’t stop commenting and that would take time from many other more important obligations and tasks he has as a President of US.
iOS 5: backup your device before the upgrade!
Nobody knows for sure will Apple launch the iOS 5 at the release show in their Cupertino, California campus. But if they do so and you are among those early adopters, you should do well if you decide to backup your iOS device. Backing up your data is always a smart move whenever you do some mayor change on your device, no matter what the change is about. This is just in case something goes wrong and you need to restore your device completely. If you have your backup safe and ready then there is no need to worry at all. If not, well, your data can disappear into the big blue of data heavens.
