iOS security hole revealed
A serious security hole in Apple’s iOS fortress has just being discovered bu renowned security expert Charlie Miller. The vulnerability enables apps which are downloaded from the official App Store to download and run harmful code from any remote third party computer. This app which Charlie Miller uploaded successfully to App Store by circumventing Apple security policies and checks, behaves like any regular app displaying stock informations, but it was able to download code from distant computer and run selected commands therefore becoming able to steal user files without any permission.

Apple is well known by superior designing capabilities and great user interfaces in their devices. And from time to time they tend to release a small but really nice feature for their products or services. Not surprisingly, this happened with their last upgrade for Apple TV too. Apple porting Siri voice assistant to iPhone 4?
We have heard recently some rumors and reports about Apple’s intentions to add Siri to iPhone 4. Since Apple is recently busilly working on iOS 5.0.1 to solve battery life issues they apparently also want to include in this upgrade Siri to become comaptible with iPhone 4. A source close to Cupertino Company revealed that Apple’s engineers are testing Siri in their other iPhone models. Model which will most probably receive Siri upgrade will be iPhone 4 which has enough hardware capacities for supporting Siri. But we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that Apple is also testing other iPhone models. Could this mean that Apple is working on another iOS upgrade?
Is Apple’s Siri assistant a Google killer?
Former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt has said in a public hearing that Siri represents a great development in search and that Google’s core business of internet search could be significantly threatened by Apple’s Siri technology. While such a statement could be dismissed as a overreaction, it is certain that Siri represents something completely new on the market. But nonetheless such a bold statement is questionable especially since Schmidt said it in front of a US Senat commission, probably to decrease the incredible significance and impact Google has over the Internet. Siri indeed could hurt Google’s business as it offers a voice assistance thus circumventing the need for visiting Google’s website with served adds which yield most of the profits for Google.
