iPad 3 prototype image surfaced

The image you see above is what seems to be some kind of iPad 3 prototype. The image first surfaced on an Apple devoted blog and now starts to circulate across the tech blogosphere. You can clearly see that the device looks like an iPad with an visible Apple logo but with different case design. Most visible difference is some kind of a bulge on the left hand side of the image. Could it be some kind of ethernet port? The answer seems to be a positive one as the same area bears a visible sign for a ethernet port. Another interesting thing is that this iPad seems to have a wide screen display. Apparently, no camera is visible on the tablet.

So far no more comments or rumors are available on this purported new iPad model. But while this looks like an iPad to some degree, it could at the same time be just another fake Apple tablet. Or it could be a cheap Chinese iPad clone. It seems rather unconvincing that Apple would add an Ethernet port to their tablet or that they would decide to remove the camera form the device.
