New iPhone 5 launch event to be held in Apple headquarters in Cupertino

iPhone launch

According to latest iPhone 5 rumors, Apple plans to held the main event in their Cupertino, California campus rather than in YBCA in San Francisco, which was where such events were held traditionally. This rumor is credited to a unnamed source in Cupertino company, which revealed in his leak that Tim Cook,Apple’s new CEO wants to held the big launch in the Cupertino headquarters. If you check Apple’s history you will see that all similar events including the launches of both iPad models as well as all those of all previous iPhone models were held originally in the Bay area. But this time, Apple wants the event to be held closer to its home base. As you probably already know the launch is almost certainly scheduled for Tuesday, October 4th.

At the time being nobody knows for sure exact details of the big presentation. Questions like who will be the main speaker and which products will be launched are not yet answered officially. Several most occurring rumors are that we will see a launch of a new iPhone 5 model or a more affordable and upgraded version of iPhone 4. Some rumors even claim that we will be witnessing a launch of both devices at the same time, but we think this wont be the case this time.

Another interesting thing is that the question of the keynote speaker for this event is still open. We all know that Steve Jobs was the one who did this himself and he did it rather brilliantly. Sadly, a part of magic will be missing this year as Steve Jobs wont do this anymore. Will Tim Cook be up to this task? Or will someone else be responsible for this? We will see it soon enough.
