Google launches a new social network
Google is launching it latest attempt to compete with Facebook. Google + is a new product for social networking which should according to the Search Engine Giant outperform and outsmart currently the number on in the social networking: Facebook. The main future of Google + which should make it distinctively better than Facebook are so called “circles”.
Instead of posting to everyone in your contact list you will be able to post to your colleagues only, or to your family only, or to any other chosen group of people, instead of spamming hundreds of people in your contact list with something that is or could be important only to smart number of people. Currently this Google service is available only to invited people, but probably as soon as it becomes available there will be an iOS app launched too.
So far on Google’s + page there is visible a number of options for joining the social network from your smartphone. An Android app is already available but Google has announced that an IOS app will swoon be available. Nonetheless, if you have and exclusive invitation for Google + and an iPhone and would like to try this latest Google product you can try it out if you hit the web app which can be found at m.google.com/app/plus. But if you aren’t in a hurry, you can wait for the upcoming native iOS version of the app.
It seems that Google could stand a chance to make a strong impact in social networking with Google + as it seems much better than previous attempts with Google Buzz and Wave products. Interestingly the design of this service was created by a former Apple designer Andy Hertzfeld.
