New iPhone 4 just released is prone to Limeran jailbreak solution
The new iPhone 4 which is hitting the Apple online store and selected retail stores today can be jailbreaked with the LimeRa1n jailbreak tool. This will be a good news for all jailbreakers. Unfortunately no unlock is available for this version of the iPhone as the baseband (modem firmware) is not supported by the UltraSn0w unlock and cant be unlocked at this moment.
This is confirmed by a tweet from a prominent member of the jailbreaking development group which is known as iH8sn0w. He announces in his message that the iPhone 4 is susceptible to the jailbreak as the exploit which LimeRa1n uses for the jailbreak is not patched by Apple and can easily jailbreak the device. Another good news is that the the jailbreak will be untethered as it can use another exploit which was found by a German security expert Stefan Esser (@i0n1c). This comes from the fact that this untethered exploit is based on the iOS itself so it doesn’t depend on the model of the device but on the iOS version.
Here is tweet from iH8sn0w where he announces this.
