Foxconn: iPad 2 production on time

Foxconn explosion

Beside the tragic loss of human lives after the explosion in Foxconn’s iPad 2 assembling plants, there were some speculations about the possible impact of this accident on the production of Apple’s iPad 2 devices.

Some experts held the opinion that the impact should be negligible but today China Times has reported that according to statements coming from Foxconn, iPad 2 production wont be slowed down. What is important is that the explosion didn’t damage plants production lines. Foxconn has signalled to their mayor suppliers that the manufacturing of iPad 2 tablets wont be slowed down and that all orders and shipments will be requested and delivered at the normal pace. Even more ipad 2 and iPhone will be in mass production during the third quarter. Nothing concrete has being unveiled here but as we all know Apple plans to launch the next model of iPhone as soon as possible, probably early this autumn and Foxconn will probably be the company which will be responsible for its production.

Huge explosion which occurred last Friday killed three workers and injured more than 15 other people. Both Apple and Foxconn stated that they are deeply sorry for all the victims and that a full investigation is underway.
