RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 untethered jailbreak just released by iPhone Dev Team!

Working really fast and efficiently Dev Team, the famous group of jailbreak developers has upgraded their jailbreaking tool for Windows and Mac. They have incorporated the untethered jailbreak exploit by i0n1c (aka Stefan Esser from Germany) in order to provide jailbreakers with a far more convenient untethered jailbreak. As you remember Apple has quickly upgraded the iOS after the release of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. But this time we have been lucky as Apple’s engineers didn’t patch the exploit found by i0n1c and now this exploit has was used to update this new version of the RedSn0w. Result of this is that we have a stable, untethered jailbreak tool. Good work Dev Team and i0n1c!

If you need to jailbreak you can use RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 for Mac and Windows. You can download the files here:

RedSn0w for Windows

RedSn0w for Mac

This untethered jailbreak is available for all Apple devices running on iOS 4.3.2 with one exception: iPad 2. So if you have iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 , iPod Touch (3G or 4G) and iPad you will be able to use this jailbreak. If you need step by step instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone with RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 jailbreak go to this article. The instructions for RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 are the same just download the new version of RedSn0w 0.9.6rc14 from the link above and follow the instructions properly.

Please note: if you need the carrier unlock do not jailbreak with RedSn0w! RedSn0w will update the baseband on your iPhone and this will prevent you from using UltraSn0w unlock. Instead wait for the upgraded version of PwnageTool as it will be available later this week. PwnageTool will preserve your old baseband version meaning you will be able to unlock your iPhone for use on other, unofficial carrier networks. Sn0wBreeze, which is basically PwnageTool for Windows should also be available very soon. Stay tuned to our blog and we will inform you on all trending news in the jailbreak world!
