Apple’s Activations servers down?
Many iPhones and iPads worldwide get bricked as iTunes activation servers get offline. It seems that the release of Lion beta version isn’t the only trouble for Apple currently. We have heard that many users had problems with activation of their devices, since last night. The scope of the problem is easier understood if you check Apple Support Communities where you can find long complaints about the issue by many users around the globe.
The problem appears when you need to upgrade the iOS firmware to 4.3.3. The actual restore process will finish well but when it does so you will get a message saying that your iDevice cant be activated and that you should visit an Apple Store for more help. This problem appeared on both Mac OSX and on Windows OS. According to most experts the problem is probably caused by crashing of Apple’s activation servers.
As we write this the problem isn’t yet solved, so to avoid this happening to you, you should avoid updating your iOS device until things clear out. If you have already bricked your iPhone or iPad due to this problem, you will have to be patient and wait until Apple restores their activation servers.
