White iPhone 4 slightly thicker than its predecessor
It seems that the white iPhone 4 which was just released yesterday is different than iPhone 4 black in one small detail, it is slightly thicker for around 0.2mm than the original iPhone 4 black which was released last year. Because of this if you already have a protective iPhone case it could be that it wont fit your new white iPhone 4 .
If you check Apple’s informations on the white model you will learn that it says that the thickness is same as for the black iPhone 4. Why has this increase appeared is not yet known although there are some theories that this is so because of additional UV protection or some other special protection layer, but nothing is known for sure at this moment.
If you have a case which is slightly bigger than your iPhone 4 then you have a case which will fit nicely with your new iPhone, but if you have a case which fits nicely on your black iPhone it will probably be to small for your new white iPhone. As the new iPhone has same antenna as the black version you will probably need a protective case again.
