Blackberry Messenger coming to iOS?

Blackberry Messenger for iPhone

Recently we heard a rumor about RIM introducing to iOS its famous Blackberry Messenger. According to this rumor this will supposedly happen in April. Along Blackberry Messenger RMI, wants to include other services from the BlackBerry world into the Apple iTunes App Store. The source of this rumor is supposedly CEO of Blackberry Jim Balsillie.

According to this rumor he said during a less known Social Media conference that Blackberry wants to reach iPhone users with their services like Blackberry Messenger and other which were previously available only on Blackberry devices. Apparently Blackberry wants to use the brand new notification system in iOS. As usual for such big companies, RIM has neither confirmed this rumor nor have they denied it. Could this been seen as a sign of weakness as many recent market researches show RIM’s Blackberry significantly lagging behind Apple’s iOS and Android powered smartphones?

Do you think this would be good for you? Would you like to have Blackberry Messenger on your iPhone? Let us know your opinion on this.
