iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak exploit in development
After showing his jailbreak of an iPod on 4.3.1 with the latest Apple iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak developer Stefan Esser has publicly revealed that he gave his exploit to the famous iPhone Dev Team. At this moment hey are working on a beta version of the jailbreak.
Here is a Youtube video demoing his iOS 4.3 .1 jailbreak on iPod Touch.
And here is the tweet from Stefan Esser where he had announced this.
When the iPhone Dev Team members conclude the jailbreak is stable enough they will use it in one of the already available software tools like Pwnage Tools or RedSn0w before they make it available to the jailbreak users.
Unfortunately for iPad 2 users it wont work for their device. As we wrote previously Apple has bu pure luck patched the exploit found and used by Comex for the iOS 4.3.1.
So another, completely new jailbreak will be needed for jailbreaking the new iPad 2 tablet. So far no one has claimed any success with this.
We will let you know as soon as there are some new informations on jailbreaks for 4.3.1 iOS on all iDevices. Please stay tuned and lets hope it wont get too long!
