Gmail app for iOS upgraded, new features available
Gmail app for iOS had its up and downs during the last month. After it was released for the first time it was quickly removed from the app store because of some serious bugs, but not before it was heavily criticized by users which have already downloaded the app. But Google is obviously determined to improve Gmail for iOS. So the app has just been upgraded and new features were introduced for the first time. Now you can enjoy Scribbles and make your emails fancy with some nice handmade drawings.
Gmail app now also supports signatures, labels and automatic vacation notifications. You can get these new options by simply tapping on the gear sign which is located on the upper left side of the screen. We think that the most exiting new feature is actually Scribble. With Scribble you can easily paint pictures and insert them into your emails. You can use a number of different drawing tools, colors and options to create your own unique emails. This upgrade of the Gmail app looks much better than what we have seen earlier, but there are still some features missing. One obvious issue is that it is not possible to create multiple accounts within the app.
If you depend on Gmail for your email communications, you can get the new version of Gmail for free from Apple’s app store right now. If you are using this new version on your iPhone or iPad, let us know what do you think of these new features.
