Cydia tweaks: Say cheese! (For unlocked iphones only)
Once upon a time the old photographer would instruct the family to say “cheese” when taking a picture of them. The same procedure is now transferred to the 21th century, but this time in a slightly different context.
Shutter Vox is an imaginative jailbreak tweak available only for jailbroken devices. Whether you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad you can use this tweak after you jailbreak your device. This is easily done with PwnageTools, Sn0wBreeze or RedSn0w for Windows and Mac OS X. With this Shutter Vox tweak when you say the word “cheese”, your iPhone shoots an image. Shutter Vox waits for the word “cheese” and when it is recognized it will take a picture. You can also change the default triggering word to anything else you prefer. Keep in mind the voice recognition is a bit cheese, pun intended, so you’ll have to say the trigger word loud and clear otherwise it wont work.
After you download and install Shutterr Vox from Cydia you’ll have first to record your triggering word (cheese or anything else). You wont have almost any customization available and no need for any settings adjustment before you start using it. You can choose if you want the flash to work or not when taking pictures and that is basically all there is. Certainly this app isn’t for everybody but if you enjoy this particular joke it could be a funny thing to show your friends. Shutter Vox is available as a download from Cydia and it costs only $0.99
